About the “Step into the Future” Center
WHERE DID IT ALL START?
Our organization was founded in 2019 — we decided to support families with children with special needs living in Pyatigorsk.

How did we take a step towards the future of inclusion?
In 2020, we became members of the Autism‑Regions Association and began learning how to help children with ASD, using only proven methods.
In September 2020, we opened the first resource class with the support of Gymnasium No. 11 in the city. Seven children began studying in this class, and 13 parents, 10 teachers, and representatives of the school administration also participated in the work.
In 2021, we expanded and opened a second resource class site.
In 2024, we opened a center to help people with autism and other mental health conditions.
Here, we create conditions where all children can communicate, engage in sports and creative activities, and, most importantly, receive an education.
Parents receive ongoing support from psychologists and educators.
In August 2024, we launched the “Special House” project, which focuses on the social and everyday adaptation of people with mental health conditions, preparing them for adult life and independence.
In 2025, we opened the 3rd resource class at School No. 8 in Pyatigorsk.
In October 2025, we launched an incredible project together with the SVOJ Media agency — “SVOJ Step. Ambassadors of Good”.
The project became the starting point for the development of our Center — we created a collection of souvenirs based on drawings by children with ASD so that their creativity would bring joy to others and spread good throughout Russia.
In November 2025, we created the “Step into the Frame” film club for people with mental disabilities aged 7 to 17, where they undergo socialization, develop emotional intelligence, and simply enjoy watching films and socializing.
2026 — A New Chapter for Us
2026 has marked a new milestone in the development of Step into the Future. We are rapidly expanding the scale of our work — from local support programs to interregional initiatives and projects with the potential to reach people across Russia.
✨ We held our first interregional conference, AU…People 2026, bringing together more than 200 participants from across Russia.
✨ We launched our fourth resource classroom, expanding inclusive education opportunities in Yessentuki.
✨ With the support of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation, we launched a free adaptive physical education program for children with developmental disabilities.
✨ With the support of the Timchenko Foundation, we launched a project providing free ADOS-2 diagnostic assessments for families.
✨ We are completing the first development stage of Inclusor — our federal digital ecosystem designed to make knowledge, support resources and navigation through available services more accessible to people, families, professionals and organizations.
✨ We are completing the first stage of Inclusive Capital: City of Understanding — an initiative aimed at bringing the principles of inclusion into the everyday life of the city.
✨ And now we are moving forward with the next major stage: Inclusive Capital: Garden of Understanding — a permanent public educational space where architecture, urban design, interactive experiences and digital technologies will help people better understand autism and create a more accepting society.

Inclusor
The federal ecosystem of support and routing
“Inclusor” is an educational media platform of the ANO “Step into the Future,” created with the support of the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation as part of the “Healthy Step” project.
The platform brings together free materials for parents, students, specialists, and representatives of educational organizations. It publishes video lectures, practical recommendations, methodological materials, and modern evidence‑based approaches to supporting children with mental disabilities.
The project aims to increase the availability of high‑quality knowledge, develop the professional competencies of specialists, and support families regardless of where they live.
The platform brings together free materials for parents, students, specialists, and representatives of educational organizations. It publishes video lectures, practical recommendations, methodological materials, and modern evidence‑based approaches to supporting children with mental disabilities.

In 2025, the ANO “Step into the Future” won the grant competition of the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation “Sport for All” with the project “Healthy Step”.
The project is aimed at developing adaptive physical culture for children with mental disabilities using modern evidence‑based approaches. The program is based on the synergy of adaptive physical culture and methods of applied behaviour analysis (ABA), which makes it possible not only to develop motor skills but also to foster communication, independence, understanding of instructions, skills for interacting with peers, and successful participation in group classes.
This is especially relevant for the Stavropol Territory: despite the growing need among families, comprehensive programs that combine adaptive physical culture and behavioral technologies remain insufficiently widespread.
As part of the project, children receive free comprehensive assistance aimed at developing physical, social, and life skills in a safe and supportive environment. The program is based on an individual approach, takes into account the specific characteristics of each child, and helps to improve their independence, quality of life, and readiness for further socialization.

AU...People
interregional conference
The interregional conference “AU… PEOPLE” is the first large‑scale project of the ANO “Step into the Future” of this format, bringing together more than 200 participants and experts from various regions of Russia and Budapest, as well as 10+ partners at the federal and regional levels. The conference became a platform for exchanging experience and sharing modern practices for supporting people with ASD and developing an inclusive environment. The high level of satisfaction among the participants confirmed that the project will become an annual tradition.

Special House
the space for social and everyday adaptation
“Special House” is a space for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders and other mental characteristics.
Here, participants learn not just independence skills, but life skills — step by step, they master everything that helps them feel more confident in society.
In the cozy, safe atmosphere of “Special House,” classes are held on cooking, personal care, cleaning, organizing personal space, and interacting with other people.
Each participant gets the opportunity to develop practical skills, communication initiative, and faith in their own abilities.
The goal of the project is to help people with special needs live as independently as possible, to feel needed, important, and accepted.
We believe that everyone can take a step towards a future where everyone has a place, support, and a home. 💙

About the projectHere, cinema becomes not just entertainment, but a tool for developing thinking, emotions, and communication. During the meetings, participants learn to watch films consciously — they discuss the characters, their actions, motives, and emotions, and develop the ability to analyze, empathize, and express their own opinions. Each session helps children and teenagers better understand themselves and others, and trains their attention, speech, and emotional intelligence. The goal of the project is to bring special children closer to the world of communication and self‑expression through the language of cinema, and to show that each of them is already the main character of their own story. 💙 |

About the project“First Step” is a partnership program for commercial organizations that want to start or develop corporate social responsibility through clear, transparent, and feasible cooperation formats with the ANO “Step into the Future”. The program is focused on providing real assistance to the center, as well as on fostering sustainable and eco‑friendly interaction between the non‑profit sector and business. The program’s principle is that • the partner chooses one or more participation formats • Each format implies a real contribution to the center's activities • the partner gets an official status and the opportunity to participate publicly Participation in events, conferences and public formats It is provided as part of a partnership, not separately. |

About the project“RAStalk” is an educational project that began active development at the end of 2025 and is aimed at creating an inclusive environment beyond our center. We hold open days, meetings, and lectures for professionals from organizations and clinics, helping them better understand the characteristics of people with ASD and interact with them confidently. The project reduces fears and barriers and helps make inclusion a part of everyday life. |
